Massage

Choosing the right massage can be overwhelming, as each massage uses different healing approaches. Usually, the massage therapist will help you to select the right massage depending on your requirement. Here are a few options and benefits depending on the massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage uses a combination of special techniques that target lower layers of muscle tissue. Deep tissue massage is used to break up scar tissue or adhesions that can cause pain, limited range of motion, and inflammation.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is generally used for relaxation, relieving muscle tension, and also helps to break down scar tissue. In this type of massage, muscles are rubbed with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is usually used for a pre or post-sports event. Techniques used in this massage is fast-paced and mainly consist of stretching. This massage helps to realign the fibers and connective tissue, and also helps to flush away the toxins. Pre-sport massage is great as it helps to increase joint mobility and flexibility, reducing the risk of injury during sport or exercise.

Trigger Point Massage

A Trigger point is a knot (tight area within the muscle) which causes pain in other parts of the body. Trigger point massage is designed to work on the source of the pain and improving the overall condition.

If you are still not sure which massage to select, contact one of our massage therapists and then can guide you depending on your requirements and needs.
