Great service and extremely professional. I am using their full body package which is affordable and efficient. My arms and legs are smooth and showing signs of fewer hair. I have done only 4 sessions. I highly recommend this place.
Laser Hair Removal for Arms
Full arms, forearms or just the hands and fingers. Arm hair is one of the most visible things about a short-sleeved summer, and one of the least practical areas to keep shaving.

Arms are a middling-sized area, so appointments sit comfortably between the quick underarm visit and a full-leg session. Forearm hair is often finer than leg or underarm hair, which can mean the response is more gradual — your technician will be straight with you about that at the consultation rather than after you have paid for a course.
Why people treat their arms
Arm hair is awkward to manage. Shaving a forearm leaves stubble that catches on sleeves within a day, waxing is uncomfortable on a large flat area, and bleaching only changes the colour while leaving the texture. Meanwhile the arms are on show more than almost anywhere else: short sleeves, rolled cuffs, every photograph.
Hands and fingers are their own request, and a common one. Hair on the knuckles and the backs of the hands is difficult to shave neatly and tends to be noticed in exactly the situations where you would rather it were not.
What the appointment is like
Your technician treats the arm in sections, rotating it so each surface lies flat under the handpiece: the outer forearm, the inner forearm, then upper arm and shoulder cap if you are doing full arms. The bone-close areas — the wrist, the elbow and the back of the hand — register more sharply than the fleshier parts, but they are also small and quickly passed.
Mid-length visit
Forearms alone are a short appointment; full arms including the upper arm take appreciably longer.
Nothing to hide afterwards
The follicles go slightly pink and raised for a few hours, much like mild sunburn. Long sleeves are optional, not necessary.
Mind the forearm tan
Forearms catch sun even when the rest of you is covered — the driver’s tan is real. The two-week no-sun rule applies here too.
Finer hair, steadier progress
Fine, light arm hair carries less pigment than coarse underarm hair, so the change can be more gradual. We would rather set that expectation up front.
How we treat arms
This is the treatment we use on the arms. Which one, and at what settings, is decided with you at a free consultation.
Getting good results on arms
The main thing that derails an arm course is sun, because forearms are exposed year-round in a way legs are not. The second is skipping sessions, since a missed appointment simply misses the growth phase it was scheduled for.
- Shave the arm 24 hours before each visit; never wax, thread or epilate during the course
- SPF 30 or higher on your forearms daily, including through the car window
- No self-tanner on the arms for two weeks either side of a session
- Leave moisturiser, oils and makeup off the area on the day of treatment
- Treat hands and fingers in the same visit as the forearms if you want an even result to the cuff

Safe on every skin tone
The Candela GentleMax Pro is licensed for every Fitzpatrick skin type: the Alexandrite wavelength suits lighter skin and the Nd:YAG passes through the skin’s own pigment to reach the hair, which is why it is the safer choice for deeper skin tones. Your technician confirms your skin type and patch-tests before the first full pass.
Shave the area 24 hours before each visit and do not wax, epilate, thread or tweeze between sessions: the laser needs the hair root in place to work, and pulling it out wastes the appointment.
Is it right for you?
Dark, coarse arm hair responds well. Very fine, pale or blonde arm hair carries too little pigment for the laser to act on, and in a small number of people with fine, dense hair the laser can stimulate growth at the edge of a treated area rather than reduce it. Our technicians choose treatment margins specifically to avoid that, and will raise it with you at the consultation if your hair pattern makes it a consideration. If you are a man looking at arms alongside chest or back, see our guide to body hair for men.

Laser Hair Removal for arms: your questions
Straight answers from the Oxyderm team. Still wondering about something? Call us. We love these questions.
Can you treat just my forearms?
Yes. Forearms are a common standalone booking, and the appointment is shorter and cheaper than full arms. You can add the upper arms later if you want to even things out.
Do you do hands and fingers?
Yes. Hair on the backs of the hands, the knuckles and the fingers can be treated, and it is quick. Many clients add it to a forearm session so the result does not stop at the wrist.
Does laser work on fine, light arm hair?
Less reliably than on coarse dark hair. The laser targets pigment, so the finer and lighter the hair, the less energy it absorbs. Your technician will look at your actual hair at the consultation and tell you honestly what to expect before you commit to a course.
Will my arms be red afterwards?
Usually a little. The follicles go pink and slightly raised for a few hours, similar to mild sunburn, and settle the same day. There is nothing you need to cover up.
Can I have arm laser in summer?
Yes, but the no-sun window is the catch. Forearms catch sun easily, and we need two weeks of no sun and no self-tanner before and after each session. Diligent SPF makes a summer course workable; a holiday in the middle of it does not.
How many sessions will my arms need?
Arms follow the same course structure as other areas, and the number depends on how coarse and dark your hair is. Finer arm hair typically needs patience and sometimes more sessions than a coarse area like the underarm. We review your progress as you go rather than selling a fixed block up front.
